I've been Thinking - 18 March 2018

One of the people that fascinates me in history is Winston Churchill.  A man born for a time and season. While I am sure that not the entire movie “The Darkest Hour” was a faithful rendition of his life, it did show the something of the character of the man during a difficult time in history.

One of the reasons I am interested in Churchill, is because of his ability to speak to a situation and bring forth the best from it.  One of those situations was when he returned to speak at his old school in 1941 and delivered the now famous words;

"Never give in, never give in, never, never, never, never—in nothing, great or small, large or petty—never give in except to convictions of honor and good sense."

I often feel that way about walking with God. There are many things that can discourage us, things that don’t work out the way we expect, but we are encouraged in Scripture not to give in, but to keep on walking the path that God has laid before us.

So, no matter what has happening in your life this week, no matter what the circumstances of your life, God is faithful, God cares for and loves you, so don’t give up!
